Being blessed with natural artistic talent I have a keen sense of colour and placement. I could always draw and at an early age my interest in art was more towards commercial design.

My passion is for stylish, eye catching art that ‘pops off the page’ and has movement.

I have an active mind and enjoy studying creative software.

Expertise

Software: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional. I am at present studying Dreamweaver and Flash. I have recently upgraded from CS Premium to CS3 Design Premium.

Skills: Advertisements, general design, page design, prepress colour and preparation, illustration and photography.

Strenth: Strict adherance to deadlines.

Cape Chamber of Printing - Print Estimator. Diploma with distinction.

Experience

Experience in the printing industry that money cannot buy today.

Blackshaws (Medium sized printer - Cape Town): Prepared all artwork for the camera which included a photography magazine.

Creda Press Art Studio (Large printer - Cape Town) Main task was a glossy hotel magazine called ERA. Compiling a full mock up with typesetting and litho specifications. Creda had one of the first computerised typesetters with a page makeup facility. ERA later went to a printer in Johannesburg and I was transferred to book production which was done from manuscript stage.

As I have always been extremely computer literate it was a natural progression to turn to computer graphics.

Treasured Moments - a 128 page glossy scrapbooking magazine. Responsible for design, artwork, photography, repro and preparation of PDF’s for print with preflight. The magazine is no longer published.

Car Connected - a 16 page upmarket free monthly publication for the motor industry with advertising and editorial. Responsible for design, artwork, photography, repro and preparation of PDF’s for print with preflight. Unfortunately this publication has had to be discontinued.

Various other advertisements, newsletters, display graphics and photography assignments.
